♥ What ages do you work with?
At Little Big Words, we work with children and young people from 12 months to 18 years old. Whether your child is just beginning to communicate or working through more complex language challenges as they grow older, we provide support at every stage of their development.

♥ Do you offer in-home therapy?
Yes! We offer therapy sessions at home, in schools, at kinders, and other childcare settings, depending on your child’s needs and our availability. This allows us to provide therapy in the most comfortable and familiar environment for your child.

♥ Do I need a referral to access services?
No referral is needed to access our services. If you have a GP care plan (EPC/CDMP), that’s great and may help you access rebates, but you can self-refer at any time.

♥ Do you work with NDIS clients?

Yes, we work with both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. We can also assist in preparing necessary reports and documents for your NDIS plan to ensure that your child gets the support they need.

♥ Are sessions claimable under private health insurance?
​
Yes! If you have private health insurance with speech pathology coverage, you can claim for your sessions. We recommend checking with your provider to confirm the specifics of your coverage.

♥ Can I claim any rebates through Medicare?
Your child may be eligible for a partial rebate through Medicare’s Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program. You can claim up to 5 sessions for Allied Health Services (including Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Psychology) within a calendar year.

Please note, we do not bulk bill. A gap fee is applicable for each eligible speech pathology session, which is the difference between the Medicare rebate and the cost of the service.
